This monumental mobile sculpture takes full advantage of both ambient and electric light to create a stunning, singular piece of site-specific functional art that celebrates vertical movement for the world headquarters of Otis Elevator, the largest and oldest manufacturer of elevators and escalators. Forty-eight xenon and long-life halogen bulbs light each crescent form, hanging 27 feet into the 40-foot high atrium space. Mica light diffusers were developed for this sculpture to prevent glare when the mobile is viewed from above.
